my brother derek was one in a million not only a brother to me but a best friend, he has 2 very beautiful kids,kendal is 13 she was only 5 when her daddy passed away she misses him oh so much,but left her with a load of happy loving memories, on the other hand his wee boy kered who is 7 didnt get the pleasure of meetin his daddy as rhona his partner was pregnent at the time, which was one of the saddest moments ever, but you shine rite though him del, a minni me aint the word, i have to hold back the tears when he is there as he reminds me so so much of u its hard but he keeps ur spirt alive we tell him everything about u n kendal of course she was a daddy girl its hard for her too but dont u worry cause wee will look after them both, my mum aint the same person since that day wee found out u died it ripped a part of her out that can never ever heal she worries me but heh she has kendal and kered to keep her going n of course the rest of us i coud go on forever derek but it wont ever bring my brother back, so i will cherish every memory i have n all the good times in my heart untill we meet again with all my love your wee sis stick (lol) a joke we hav together, yours alway rest in peace mate nicola x x x

Footprints In The Sand x
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied:
"My child, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

Lord, in this hour I need you, more than words could ever tell.
I feel as if I'm stranded on shores between heaven and hell...
I know you haven't left me, yet my heart feels void of hope.
